Treasury Accountant

The opportunity

We are looking for a focused and reliable candidate to join our team as a Treasury Accountant. This is a great chance to be involved in a young, fast-growing company and become a valuable member of the Finance team which spans both UK and Ukraine.

This is a hands-on role where you will be given the opportunity to improve our processes and systems. You will be able to make an impact and gain exposure to all parts of an international technology business.

What you will be doing

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will be responsible for managing the Treasury and Accounts Payable functions of this growing, global technology business, including:

• Rolling weekly and monthly cash planning and currency management for all group companies (multi-location, multi-currency)
• Assist in the overall cashflow analysis, consolidation, reporting for the Group
• Weekly bank-reconciliations
• Preparing month end reconciliations for all bank nominal ledger accounts
• Managing the payment runs for all suppliers to the Group, which requires liaising closely with the Buying & Merchandising team
• Building and maintaining the day-to-day relationship with the Group’s banks, including maintaining the banking mandates,
• Managing filing of all supplier invoices and correspondence
• Working closely with the teams in Kyiv and London to ensure accurate and timely payments
• Ad-hoc support to finance manager and the wider finance team as required
• Reviewing processes with a view to implementing improvements and efficiencies including working with the in-house technology team to automate where possible

Who you are

• Experience in Accounting for at least 3 years
• Experience as a Treasury Accountant is desirable
• At least Upper-Intermediate (B2) level of English. You will have lots of meetings with the UK colleagues.
• Experience of using online business banking and global payments
• Confident and able to work on own initiative and with limited supervision and experience of working in an entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Experience using MS Dynamic Nav software, or a demonstrable ability to learn.
• Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with internal and external parties to resolve queries
• A person of integrity, discretion and excellent attention to detail
