Johanniter is a global INGO with operations in multiple coutnries, and expertise in the field health andemergency programming. Johanniter has been active in Ukraine since Russia started the full-scale waron 24 Febraury 2022. Johanniter is currently seeking a highly qualified Project Consortium Coordinator tolead a health consortium in Eastern Ukraine.

The Project Consortium Coordinator will serve as the focal point for consortium management in Ukraine,ensuring effective coordination among partner organizations, compliance with donor requirements, andalignment with consortium objectives. The role involves facilitating communication, overseeing jointreporting, and supporting strategic planning to maximize the impact of consortium-funded projects.

Contract duration – 12 months (with the possibility of extension).

Tasks

Strategy and Vision? 

actively supports the values of Johanniter and shapes work accordingly;
- contributes to the development and implementation of the global strategy of Johanniter International Assistance.

Leadership

- actively lives the Johanniter’s leadership principles by fostering trust, embracing diversity,communicating openly, supporting wellbeing, and taking responsibility to contribute to a positive,inclusive, and adaptable work environment;
- this is reflected in the day-to-day activities in line with the Code of Conduct and related policies toachieve our goals.

Consortium Coordination? 

- act as the primary liaison between consortium partners, donors, and stakeholders;
- facilitate regular coordination meetings and ensure timely information sharing;
- support harmonization of approaches, tools, and standards across consortium members.

Project Management

- ensure consortium activities meet contractual obligations;
- coordinate joint reporting and consolidate inputs from consortium partners;
- monitor project implementation and flag risks or challenges to consortium leadership.

Strategic Planning

- contribute to the development of consortium strategies;
- identify opportunities for collaboration and expansion of consortium activities;
- support advocacy efforts and representation of the consortium at national and international levels.

Safeguarding & Gender

- ensure consortium projects comply with safeguarding policies, protecting vulnerable groups;
- promote gender-sensitive approaches and inclusion of marginalized communities.

Capacity Building

- strengthen coordination mechanisms and build partner capacity;
- provide technical support to consortium members on donor compliance and reporting.

Representation, Communication, Liaison, and Networking

- represent the consortium at the regular cluster meetings;
- establish regular mechanisms for exchange of information between the cluster partners? motivate consortium partners to participate in events (coordination meetings, working groups, training,workshop, assessments, etc.);
- develop/apply/update a cluster strategy that ensures appropriate inclusion of all cluster partners;
- contribute to the production of documents (policies, strategies, work plans, advocacy briefs, andbulletins) with appropriate view and technical input from health partners;
- ensure the accountability and transparency of the cluster's decision and work? maintain appropriate links and dialogue with national and local authorities, state institutions, local civilsociety;
- ensure adequate monitoring mechanisms are in place and/or utilized to review the impacts of actions;
- ensure adequate reporting and effective information sharing.

Person Specification

Profession/Qualification? 

- relevant university degree or higher education, preferably in international relations and/ordevelopment, social sciences or management or related health field.

Experience

- minimum 3–5 years of experience in project coordination or consortium management inhumanitarian contexts;
- good working experience in Ukraine especially in the field of Consortium Coordination;
- strong knowledge of donor regulations (e.g., ECHO, GFFO, BMZ);
- demonstrated experience and skills in project management cycle;
- knowledge of national and international guidelines including SPHERE and CHS;
- ability to use Logical Framework Approach as a tool in project/programme design and follow-up.

Skills

- strong interpersonal skills required, with the ability to collaborate with other;
- strong leadership and coordination skills;
- documented skills in formulation of reports;
- proven communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills;
- significant understanding of complex emergencies and crisis context;
- significant political and cultural;
- awareness and experience of working in setting where insecurity is amajor issue? awareness of gender issues;
- fluency in English required; Ukrainian/Russian language skills are an asset.
