Corporate Legal Counsel (Investment Funds)
We are seeking a highly qualified Legal Counsel to support the legal and structural aspects of investment fund activities across multiple jurisdictions. This role focuses on providing strategic legal oversight, ensuring regulatory alignment, and enabling efficient interaction among all key stakeholders involved in fund operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Understand and support the operations of an existing investment fund (e.g., Cayman Islands), ensuring alignment with the fund manager, investment manager, and auditors;
• Advise on the creation of new fund structures across jurisdictions (e.g., establishing a fund manager or launching a Fund in a new jurisdiction), guiding licensing processes if needed;
• Navigate various fund structures, licenses, and their strategic benefits or trade-offs advising on the most suitable structures for specific investment goals;
• Collaborate closely with legal teams, auditors, the fund manager, and the investment manager to organize, review, and approve legal documentation and ensure smooth operations of the fund’s legal framework.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience specifically within investment funds or fund management environments;
• Deep understanding of fund types, structural options, licensing paths, and when to use each approach;
• Ability to provide not just documentation review but strategic structural input;
• Fluent in English.
