Donor relationship manager

"Save Ukraine" is the largest humanitarian organization in Ukraine dedicated to supporting families affected by war. Founded in 2014, our mission is to protect and uplift the most vulnerable, including orphans, children with disabilities, internally displaced persons, and victims of violence.

Our work includes family evacuations from frontline areas, organizing rescue missions to return forcibly deported children, and rebuilding lives through community collaboration. Save Ukraine unites dozens of organizations and hundreds of volunteers to make a tangible impact.

We are seeking a Donor Relationship Manager to strengthen our fundraising efforts, foster donor relationships, and ensure the sustainability of our vital programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with donors, including institutional funders, corporate organizations, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals, ensuring engagement and satisfaction.
• Draft high-quality funding proposals and concept notes, coordinating across departments to meet deadlines.
• Identify and track funding opportunities to position Save Ukraine for long-term success.
• Act as a liaison for donor queries and provide timely, accurate information.
• Coordinate with internal teams (programs, finance, HR, and operations) for comprehensive proposal development.
• Represent Save Ukraine to donors, partners, and key stakeholders at meetings and events.
• Support donor reporting, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and high-quality deliverables.
• Produce impactful communication materials, including donor updates and reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 2+ years of experience in donor relations, account management, sales, or related roles, preferably in the humanitarian or nonprofit sector.
• Strong writing and communication skills in English, with experience crafting funding proposals and donor communications.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with donors or clients.
• Experience in programmatic writing, budgeting, and work plan development.
• Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
• Knowledge of donor reporting requirements and humanitarian principles is an asset.
• Creative thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
