Senior Protection Officer (Mykolaiv) - Intranet DCA (emply.com)

Under the supervision of the Protection Field Coordinator (MHPSS/GBV), the Senior Protection Officer will supervise the day-to-day implementation of GBV and MHPSS activities at the women and girls’ safe space (WGSS) by the protection officers. The Senior protection officer with the Field protection coordinator will prepare component-related information (including weekly / monthly / interim / final reports). Provide technical support and guidance to ensure good quality implementation of projects in line with the operations GBV Strategy and global GBV and MHPSS standards. 

Main responsibilities

• Be the leader of administrative and organisational processes at the WGSS in Mykolaiv.
• Support in organising activities/trainings on GBV mainstreaming, and MHPSS topics in the WGSS.
• Provides technical guidance and support to the team with all needed information.
• Participate in the implementation of basic case management with psychosocial support and gender-based violence programs in the designated locations of the project.
• Together with the Protection Field Coordinator, actively participate in the development of the plan of activities at the centre for WGSS.
• Create and regularly update reports of cases and outreach activities.
• Ensure proper use of forms and confidential referral follow up.
• Maintain, organize, and regulate the reporting documentation, internal and external documentation of the project.
• Plan and manage the procurement of all necessary equipment and materials for Protection team at the WGSS.
• Responsible for communication with service providers for the proper functioning of the WGSS.
• Responsible for the planning and implementation of Protection activities, closely monitoring, evaluating, and reporting their development and flagging potential issues on time.
• Able to assist in various activities as needed by the Protection Officers, Protection Field Coordinator and Protection Manager.

Work related travels are expected in this position.
