About the job
The ICRC is seeking a highly capable Project Officer for our Recovery Pathway Project to join our team in Kyiv. The Project Officer will contribute to the project's initiation by establishing strong service mapping and stakeholder networks, leading the design and implementation of activities such as assessments, training, and workshops, and supporting the establishment of specialized mental health care services at an ICRC-supported health facility. Additionally, the role includes monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on project progress. The Project Officer will also represent the project team internally and externally as needed

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Initiate and establish strong networks with key stakeholders, mapping essential services to support the Recovery Pathway Project's success
- Contribute to the design and seamless execution of project activities, including assessments, workshops, training, and developing specialized mental health care services at ICRC-supported health facilities
- Ensure continuous monitoring and evaluation of project activities, tracking progress to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting results to project leadership
- Act as the primary point of contact for the project, representing the team internally and externally, ensuring professional collaboration with partners like the Ukrainian Red Cross Society and other key actors
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation and perform and record project controls in alignment with the ICRC’s project management framework and procedures
- Support financial oversight, track the project budget, monitor deliverable status, and escalate issues when necessary
- Foster engagement with local stakeholders, organizing meetings, preparing documents, and producing concise meeting minutes to enhance communication and collaboration
- Support developing and delivering training programs, workshops, and events related to mental health care, contributing to building expertise and capacity within the project team and partners
- Assist with preparing reports and administrative tasks, helping ensure the smooth operation of project activities and prompt delivery of updates

About you
To be successful as Project Officer, Recovery Pathway Project in the ICRC, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:
- Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
- University degree in Psychology
- Experience working at a health facility as a psychologist
- Project-management training and certification desirable
- Proven experience in managing projects and programs, particularly in governance and project teams
- Experience working with the Red Cross movement is an asset
- Experience working with an international humanitarian organization is an asset
- Professional fluency (written and spoken) in English and Ukrainian
- Computer literate, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office and planning, organization and data-management software
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
- Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
- Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
