Currently, we are looking for a lawyer to join Diia.City United (DCU or the Association), the dynamic hub where Ukrainian IT and tech businesses come together to drive innovation. The DCU’s members, residents of Diia.City, are dedicated to propelling the potential of the Ukrainian IT business, creating a thriving ecosystem for global expansion. Our community includes industry leaders like Ajax, Genesis, MacPaw, Monobank, Netpeak, Roosh, and other trailblazing tech companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading in-house legal function of Association with a focus on regulatory, corporate and contract law;
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of policies, legal agreements, corporate governance resolutions and other documents;
- Analyzing, development, preparation, and drafting of legislative and other regulatory acts position papers;
- Preparing overviews and presentations on various regulatory issues and draft changes to the legislation (criminal, commercial, special, and tax);
- Drafting letters and other legislation related documents;
- Staying updated on legislative development affecting the Association and special Diia.City economic regime, as well as permanent monitoring of the legislation;
- Leading or representing the Association’s interests in working groups (internal and external) and meetings;
- Collaborating with various government bodies, embassies, public officials and other non-governmental and business associations, other legal entities on various legal and legislative matters;
- Providing day-to-day legal cooperation and support to all stakeholders;
- Other functions on legal and legislation matters.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a leading law firm or Ukrainian/international company with specialization in corporate, tax, regulatory law;
- Law degree from a reputable Ukrainian university;
- Experience in drafting legislative and other regulatory acts, position papers;
- Previous work in the IT and technological sector is an advantage;
- Understanding of Diia.City set of legislation is an advantage;
- Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and analysis;
- Fluency in Ukrainian, B-2 level in English.
