PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Develop and promote the implementation of a long-term strategy and action plans to ensure stable and favorable relations for the company’s operations with government institutions and other top state authorities.
Responsibilities
- Directly participate in the development and oversee the execution of a long-term plan for relations with government authorities in alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Guide and maintain relations with stakeholders in the Government to ensure support to the Company's positions in various areas of its activities.
- Implement effective community assistance programs to foster goodwill and create a positive external environment for production. Leverage these programs to expand the network of contacts.
- Manage strategy and action plans implementation to maintain existing marketing freedoms liaising with the relevant Government stakeholders and NGOs.
- Represent the Company at the key business associations to jointly advance positions on the regulation on the tobacco market and innovative tobacco products. Target associations include American Chamber of Commerce, European Business Association, Ukrtutun, and other business organizations.
- Manage and coordinate outside consultants to ensure support to the Companies action plans. Ensure full compliance of the Consultants activities with the Company’s policies and relevant legislation.
- Engage in discussions on enhancing excise structure which creates a competitive advantage for the Company and allows the Government to meet its tax collection goals. Develop relevant argumentation and position papers.
- Manage and motivate Government affairs group to ensure professional development, personal and organizational growth, and career planning.
Qualifications
- Higher Education
- Overall Experience: 5-7 years.
- Specific Experience: min 3 years in a supervisory/managerial position with the government/business association/large national or multinational FMCG company working in corporate affairs or similar function
- English – proficient; Ukrainian - native
- Excellent knowledge of the legislative and decision-making processes and procedures in the government.
