It is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) developing and implementing emergency, post-emergency and development programs since 1994. The programs belong to the field of water supply, hygiene and sanitation, civil construction (housing), food security, rural development (livelihood), social, educational and psychosocial support (protection). In 2022, its dedicated teams work in 11 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. TGH has been operating in Ukraine since June 2016.
General objective of the position:
ROLE PURPOSE
The main responsibilities of a logistics officer focusing on procurement. They play a crucial role in managing sourcing and purchasing processes, ensuring the availability of goods and services at the right time, quality, and cost, and supporting the overall goals of the organization.
The Logistics Officer is overall responsible for providing the needs/requirements of the office, project including procuring all office and program supplies and services, accounting for all assets, managing stocks, and managing fleet concerns.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Purchase of goods and services in timely manner
- Provide procurement report
- Archive documents
1. Requirement Identification:
- Analyze stock levels and monitor inventory.
- Collaborate with different departments to understand their specific needs.
2. Supplier Management:
- Research potential suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements for favorable terms and prices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
3. Procurement Process Monitoring:
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies.
- Track and analyze procurement data.
- Implement improvements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate supplier performance.
- Optimize inventory levels.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping practices.
4. Effective Communication and Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal departments.
- Interact with suppliers and external partners.
- Provide regular communication and timely updates.
Job Requirements:
- Preferably 1 year of experience in procurement, logistics and/or distribution and supply chain management.
- Good command in English Speaking, Writing, Reading.
- Able to be organized, proactive and initiative.
- Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor Degree.
