Responsibilities
- System Architecture and Design: Lead the design and architecture of scalable, reliable back-end systems, making critical technical decisions.
- Development and Optimization: Write, review, and optimize code, ensuring high performance, security, and maintainability.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and mentor back-end engineers, setting standards and ensuring best practices are followed.
- Performance and Security: Monitor system performance, optimize for scalability, and implement robust security measures.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and communicating progress effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation, manage technical debt, and promote continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Requirements
- Extensive Experience: >8 years of experience in back-end development, with a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable systems.
- Strong Programming Skills: Proficiency in ExpressJS, NodeJS, Postgres and modern web technologies.
- System Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of system architecture, microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
- Coaching Skills: Nurturing with a passion for mentoring engineers, along with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Performance Optimization: Experience in optimizing back-end services for speed, efficiency, and scalability.
- Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security practices in software development, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Fluent in English: Proficient in both written and spoken English.
