Finance assistant
BACKGROUND
HELVETAS is the largest Swiss nongovernmental organization with a dual mandate for long term development and humanitarian response. It has been present in Ukraine for several years implementing development projects mainly through local partners.
During 2022 HELVETAS initiated emergency assistance. We are building our operational presence to respond comprehensively to the current humanitarian crisis. HELVETAS plans to be active in Ukraine for the next 5 years.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
Responsibilities :
- Review all documents for the previous period and collect missing documents to prepare for the subsequent audit.;
- Collecting all supporting documets for closing financial reporting period;
- Scanning, Coping, Printing supporting documents for closing financial report for previous months and additional;
- Archiving documents;
- Support with enter information to BAS (accounting system) Invoices, Acts of exeptance, Goods received notes, Contracts;
- Support with other administrative tasks;
- Support for preperation to additional audits;
- Communiaction with logistic department for receiving all supporting documents;
- Active participation in the harmonisation of operational work: exchange of ideas, creation of tools, updating of instructions, etc.
- Participation in the review of grantees' financial reports
Requirements
- Ability to work independently
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Strong computer skills in MS Office programs
- Strong organizational skills as well as attention to detail
- Good oral and written English skills
- Ukrainian citizenship
Reporting
The consultant will report directly to the Finance manager.
