1. Project Delivery and Performance
•Develop, complete and update detailed implementation plan(s)
•Implement the approved plan (including the establishment of milestones) within tolerances set by the Project Board
•Embed sustainability dimensions including social and gender inclusion, environmental and economic aspects into project life span
•Manage the production of the required outputs, taking responsibility for overall progress and use of resources and initiating corrective action where necessary.
•Ensure that the quality of work packages and deliverables complies with the quality requirements defined in the Implementation Plan
•Liaise with any external suppliers or account managers
•Authorize and accept work packages
•Monitor project progress ensuring that work packages are being executed properly, meeting quality standards and set timelines
•Control project and work packages changes following the approval process set, including submission of exception report
•Review quality and accept goods, services or works delivered by suppliers
•Identify, and anticipate in a timely manner, potential risks and issues and advises mitigating measures to senior management/ Project Board so that maximum benefit to partner(s) and other stakeholders is achieved
2. Procedures
•Comply with all organizational policy and specifically with requirements stated in the Project Management Manual
•Prepare/adapt all relevant plans for approval by the Project Board
•Manage the reporting obligations defined in the Legal Agreement(s) and in the Implementation Plan
•Draft the requirements definitions for procurement processes. Approving requisitions and requests for non-purchase order payments; Evaluating submissions received, if appointed to the evaluation team
•Ensure maintenance of the project files and lessons learned are recorded
Education/Experience/Language requirements
Education:
•A Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Management, International Relations, Economics, Law, Humanitarian Studies, etc.) is required
•A Bachelors’ degree in combination with two additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the Master’s degree
Experience:
•With a master's degree a minimum of five years or with bachelor's degree a minimum of seven years of relevant and progressive professional experience, specifically in the field of project management or project operational support is required.
•Experience with project development, management and reporting is required.
•Experience in managing projects with components on procurement, infrastructure development and rehabilitation or Mine Action focused activities would be an advantage.
•Experience in development or humanitarian support working with an international organization is desirable.
Language Requirements:
•Fluency in English (read, write and speak) is required
•Fluency in Ukrainian (read, write and speak) is required
