The USAID Rehab4U project is seeking experienced professionals to join our team in various key roles. The project focuses on strengthening the rehabilitation sector in Ukraine, addressing critical needs, and implementing sustainable changes at national, regional, and local levels. Our goal is to enhance access to quality rehabilitation services, improve governance and leadership in the sector, and promote inclusivity for persons with disabilities and war victims.
Project Overview:
USAID Rehab4U is a multi-year initiative aimed at developing sustainable, integrated rehabilitation services within Ukraine's healthcare system. The project is implemented in partnership with international and national organizations, including Deloitte, Results for Development (R4D), Project HOPE, and the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine (NAPD). Our activities cover a wide range of objectives, including strengthening leadership and governance, increasing access to rehabilitation services, and promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities in economic recovery.
Objective:
The main objective of the project is to strengthen Ukraine's capacity to provide sustainable, high-quality rehabilitation services, ensuring that those in need, including persons with disabilities and civilian victims of war, can access the care and support they require. The project will focus on the development of national strategies, regional action plans, and pilot models of service delivery, aiming to improve coordination, resource allocation, and the overall effectiveness of the rehabilitation sector.
We are currently seeking to fill the following positions:
- NHSU Coordinator: Enhance the capacity of the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) to strategically allocate rehabilitation resources and monitor service delivery.
- Rehab Social Services Manager: Manage and improve the provision of rehabilitation-related social services, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all beneficiaries.
- Workforce Coordinator: Strengthen the capacity of the rehabilitation workforce through targeted training and development programs.
- Prosthetics & Orthotics (P&O) Coordinator: Enhance the quality and availability of prosthetic and orthotic services, integrating best practices into the Ukrainian healthcare system.
- Communication Officer: Develop and implement communication strategies to raise awareness of rehabilitation services, reduce stigma against people with disabilities, and promote project achievements.
General Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant fields such as healthcare, social services, rehabilitation, or public health.
- Proven experience in project management, leadership, or coordination roles within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong understanding of the rehabilitation sector, including physical therapy, assistive technology, and healthcare workforce development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Fluency in English and Ukrainian (both written and spoken) is required.
