JUNIOR COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

Are you a university student with strong language, communication and digital skills? Are you interested in working for a country that firmly supports Ukraine on all levels?

The Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine is hiring a colleague to support our comprehensive communication activities. You will be part of the embassy’s Political Affairs, Public Diplomacy and Communications Team, and you will be tasked with communication and digital assignments, especially through the embassy’s social media channels.

You will also get the chance to contribute to other assignments across teams and tasks related to external partners and incoming delegations depending on the embassy’s priorities and your own interests. You will work closely with all departments of the embassy, providing a great opportunity for learning more about the work of a busy, bilateral embassy. 

We are looking for a colleague to join us full-time (25 hours pr. week), but we are flexible in case of study obligations during the week. The candidate must be enrolled in a higher education institution.

Your tasks will include:

• Managing and updating the embassy’s social media and webpage in close cooperation with the embassy’s Culture and Communication Officer. 
• Producing audio-visual content for the embassy’s social media platforms.
• Assisting colleagues with planning and executing virtual and physical meetings and delegations.
• Assisting in internal and external communication tasks and addressing ad hoc requests from partners and authorities.
• Other assignments may be assigned to fit the successful applicant’s individual profile.

Professional qualifications:

• Great oral and written English and Ukrainian.
• Interest and experience with web editing and social media.
• Ability to conduct basic research.
• Creativity and technical flair to produce interesting SoMe content including videos.
• Flexibility and an ability to cooperate within and outside of one’s team. 
• Relevant university degree or field of study is an advantage.
• Some knowledge of Denmark or interest to learn more.

• Outgoing, empathetic and tactful personality.
• Creativity
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Positive attitude.

Starting Date:

5 December, 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is temporary and will conclude when the candidate graduates. Employment requires security clearance from the Danish authorities. The applicant should be eligible for working in Ukraine, i.e. be a Ukrainian national or have a valid Ukrainian work permit. A salary package will be provided according to qualifications.
