About the job
The ICRC Movement Cooperation Unit is seeking a highly capable Movement Cooperation Specialist to join our team in Kyiv. This role is responsible for developing and implementing the ICRC`s objectives for cooperation with the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (the Movement) in line with the ICRC’s Movement policies and consultation with the Kyiv Cooperation team and the URCS (Ukrainian Red Cross Society) National Committee (NC). The Movement Cooperation Specialist contributes to building positive relationships between the ICRC and other Movement components, particularly the URCS branches at regional and local levels.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an overview of the Partnering National Society (PNS) and International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) activities, capacity, and affairs in Ukraine
- Support the ICRC`s position within the Movement, relationship management, and coordination activities
- Analyze and summarize information relevant to the operational partnership between ICRC and Movement partners
- Work closely with ICRC teams and the URCS to implement joint operational cooperation agreements (OCAs) monitoring
- Develop the partnership skills of the ICRC and Movement partners and ensure that all operational staff within the ICRC are aware of the Movement’s dynamic in Ukraine
- Identify capacity gaps and propose solutions
- Support the ICRC offices in Ukraine to find an agreement that facilitates PNS support to Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) programs/operations
- Maintain a good understanding of the reputational risks affecting the Movement

About you
To be successful as a Movement Cooperation Specialist in the Movement Cooperation Unit, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:
- Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6-9 years of work experience in a field relevant to partnership management
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience with international humanitarian organizations and/or with the ICRC, or any other Movement Component (NS and/or International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies)
- Fluent in written and spoken English, Ukrainian, and Russian
- Computer proficiency
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
- Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
- Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
