Pechersk School International (PSI Kyiv) is a non-profit international school, the first and only in Ukraine authorised to deliver all three International Baccalaureate® (IB) programmes. Alongside excellence in teaching and learning, PSI places strong emphasis on clear, engaging, and timely communication with its community.As part of PSI’s Advancement team — which integrates communications, marketing, fundraising, and partnerships — the Communications Officer plays a vital role in keeping the community informed and connected, while supporting fundraising initiatives and strengthening PSI’s external visibility.

Working under the supervision of the Communications & Advancement Manager, the Communications Officer is responsible for the day-to-day execution of PSI’s communications. The position covers internal communications, social media, publications, and event support, ensuring that PSI’s community remains engaged and well-informed.

Qualifications:

A degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.

Strong writing and editing skills in English and Ukrainian.

Experience with content management systems (CMS).

Proficiency in managing social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).

Confident in using basic design and publishing tools (e.g., Canva, Google Suite).

Understanding of SEO and digital marketing best practices.

Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Collaborative spirit and readiness to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Internal Communications:

Execute internal communications (Telegram channel, weekly digests, etc.) in close coordination with the Advancement Manager, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of school messages.

Aggregate and edit content from across the school community.

Work closely with the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) on communications for events and initiatives.

Support and collaborate with the Manager on the execution of dedicated communications for alumni, including newsletters, social media pages, and event invitations.

Confer and communicate with School Director and academic leadership to identify ideas and topics of interest to the community and create content opportunities appropriately.


Digital Channels & Marketing Support:

Implement social media posts and scheduling in line with PSI’s brand guidelines.

Draft, edit, and update key website content in close coordination with Advancement Manager.

Use Canva and other tools to prepare branded visuals.

Support the execution of digital marketing and advancement campaigns under the Manager’s guidance.

Work within the allocated budget for communications.

Publications:

Draft and edit text for PSI’s publications.

Collaborate and support the Advancement Manager on editing and finalising content.

Photo, Video & MediaCapture and produce, collect, archive, and prepare photo/video materials. This includes assistance with visits or the school professional photo & videographer.

Support editing and prepare drafts for posts, under the Manager’s guidance.

Advancement Support:

Support the preparation of visuals, posts, and event coverage for fundraising campaigns.

Work closely with the Advancement Manager and Fundraising Officer on campaign execution.

Analytics & Reporting:

Track engagement on social media, website, and newsletters.Prepare reports and suggest improvements.

Crisis & Emergency Communications:

Execute urgent alerts and notifications (Telegram, SMS) under the Manager’s supervision.

Support timely communication during emergencies.
