Job Description:

As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our organization.

You will oversee all financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, managing affiliate payments, and contributing to strategic financial planning. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting our mission to redefine education.

Key Responsibilities:

 Affiliate Payment Management:

• Track affiliate-generated sales and leads accurately.
• Calculate commissions owed to affiliates based on agreed-upon terms.
• Timely process and disburse affiliate payments.
• Maintain records of affiliate earnings and payouts for transparency.

Financial Reporting: Generate regular financial reports detailing revenue, expenses, and profit margins.

• Analyze financial data to assess the performance of affiliate marketing efforts.
• Prepare forecasts and budgets to plan for future financial needs and goals.

Payment Processing and Reconciliation: Manage payments from customers enrolling in online courses.

• Integrate with Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to ensure secure and efficient payment processing.
• Reconcile payments received with sales and affiliate commissions to identify discrepancies.

Fraud Prevention and Risk Management: Implement fraud detection measures to protect against fraudulent transactions.

• Monitor and identify unusual financial activities that may indicate fraudulent affiliate activities.
• Mitigate financial risks associated with affiliate partnerships and payment processing.

Compliance and Taxation: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations related to online education sales and affiliate income.

• Handle tax documentation, reporting, and withholding requirements.
• Collaborate with legal and accounting teams to stay updated on regulatory changes.

Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for various aspects of the business, including marketing expenses related to affiliate programs.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize expenses.

Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align financial strategies with business goals.

• Communicate financial data and insights to stakeholders.
• Provide support and guidance to affiliates regarding payment-related inquiries.

Scalability and Growth: Develop financial strategies that support the scalability and growth of the online education business.

• Evaluate the financial impact of expanding affiliate partnerships or launching new courses.

Customer and Affiliate Support: Assist customers and affiliates with payment-related inquiries, refunds, and chargebacks.

• Provide timely and accurate responses to financial inquiries from both customers and affiliates.

Recordkeeping and Compliance Documentation: Maintain organized financial records for auditing and compliance purposes.

• Ensure that all financial transactions and activities adhere to industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in working with a card processing business.
• Familiarity with reconciliation reports.
• Knowledge in PowerBI or similar data analysis tools.
• Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, regulations, and industry standards.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead financial teams.
