DESCRIPTION
Program management:
Plan and coordinate with the County Director the implementation of Ukraine program and activities; in line with humedica and donor standards.
Ensure the financial follow-up, including budget planning and forecast in close collaboration with the Country Director/Finance manager.
Ensure a good understanding and ownership of Humedica program, standards and donor commitment with the rest of the team, including through the organization of regular program coordination meetings, project kick-off and closure meetings.
Strategic Fundraising & Donor Engagement:
In collaboration with the County Director, lead the development of humedica fundraising strategy. This includes the mapping of donor policy and priorities and their alignment with humedica programmatic and operational goals. The program manager will play a key role in maintaining strong donor’s relationships with strategic funding partners.
Needs Assessment:
Continuously assess the needs in the area of intervention and propose necessary adjustments to the program in collaboration with the County Director and key positions in the mission.
Propose, lead and coordinate all the needed assessments in the mission in close collaboration with CD and the rest of the team.
Proposal development and reporting:
Continuously update donor mapping in the area of intervention and inform his/her manager of any funding opportunities
Lead and coordinate proposal development, project amendment request and reporting
Ensure tracking and archiving of sources of verification and other project related documents
Risk Management: Lead humedica Ukraine mission any due diligence processes relating to grant agreements and partnerships, in collaboration with the Finance/Admin manager. In addition of providing technical support, training, and capacity building on donor compliance issues to field staff . Work with other departments to ensure relevant grant documentation required is ready and available for audits.
Budget Development: In coordination with the Finance/Admin manager, support CD with the development of top-down budgets for all funding opportunities and ensure consistency between budget and other proposal documents, as well as compatibility with donor compliance requirements.
Minimum requirements
Required qualifications.
Bachelor in any related field.
Language: Excellent written and spoken English, Ukrainian and/or Russian will be an asset.
Computer requirements: Office pack user level.
Experience & Competencies
At least 10 years field experience in humanitarian projects. At least 2 years’ experience in positions with similar responsibility in fragile contexts, preferably in conflict environments.
Experience in grant mapping, management, and compliance, particularly with institutional donors (GFFO, BMZ in addition to UN agencies grants).
Experience in partnership mapping and development.
Previous experience with health-oriented and MHPSS organization or activities preferred.
Excellent planning, management, and coordination skills.
Advanced communication skills with capacity to manage conflicting priorities.
Capacity to work to meet tight deadlines in a challenging humanitarian environment.
