The Junior Legal Counsel will be responsible for legal and regulatory aspects of the company’s operations and support the various departments. This position requires hands-on skills and proactivity.
Responsibilities:
- Handle, draft and negotiate commercial agreements with clients and suppliers (e.g.license agreements, employment contracts, NDAs, etc).
- Handle due diligence process of clients and suppliers.
- Be responsible for legal compliance of the company with different regulatory requirements.
- Support day-to-day operation of various departments including Sales, Marketing, HR, Product and Finance.
- Provide business-oriented legal counseling and guidance on a range of operational, commercial, corporate, labor and compliance issues.
- Conducting legal research on various legal matters.
Hard skills:
- Law degree from a reputable university.
- 1+ year of professional experience as an in-house lawyer in the IT, FinTech, iGaming industry or reputable law firm.
- Experience in contract law, knowledge and understanding of AML & KYC procedures, corporate, employment law and legal compliance.
- Experience in internal governance policies and compliance monitoring.
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher (including legal drafting).
Soft-skills:
- Highly proactive with a “Can do” mentality, fast learner and independent.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills: ability to efficiently prioritize, manage and support multiple matters simultaneously for different stakeholders and meet strict deadlines.
- Highly analytical and details oriented.
- Excellent inter-personal skills, ability to work closely with multiple interfaces.
Will be a plus:
- Experience in the iGaming industry.
- Experience in IP law, Privacy and Data Protection.
