Dispatch Manager
Sounders Transport is seeking an experienced and highly organized Main Dispatcher Manager to join our team. This full-time, in-office managerial role requires leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage and optimize fleet load operations, particularly in the flatbed and stepdeck sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in dispatching and team management, along with a commitment to building strong relationships with brokers and shippers to secure contracts and maintain revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruiting, Training, and Managing Dispatchers: Oversee the hiring process, train, and manage a team of dispatchers to ensure optimal performance and fleet coordination.
- Dispatching Operations: Directly handle fleet load management and ensure efficient dispatching, with a strong emphasis on flatbed and stepdeck operations.
- Contract and Route Management: Secure dedicated routes and contracts by building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and shippers.
- Office Management: Take responsibility for day-to-day office operations, ensuring organizational efficiency and the achievement of revenue targets.
- Revenue Management: Track and uphold revenue requirements to meet company goals and contribute to overall growth.
- On-call Availability: Be prepared to work periodically on weekends and handle dispatching needs when required.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of dispatching experience with a focus on flatbed and stepdeck operations.
- Fluent or advanced English proficiency, with excellent communication skills essential for managing teams and broker relationships.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills to manage both the dispatch team and office operations effectively.
- Experience in securing contracts and working closely with brokers and shippers to maintain dedicated routes.
- Willingness to work in-office full-time and be on-call for occasional weekend work .
