Medical Biller/Collector Job Description
The position will include reviewing all claims to determine all actions including but not limited to settlements, payments, communications, and documentation are made in accordance with company and legal regulations.
Essential Functions:
Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
Identify and resolve problems and make time-sensitive decisions independently.
Collect information related to a patient's overdue insurance or medical bill and then work with the patient in determining a repayment plan.
Review claims for eligibility to be reimbursed.
Follow all HIPAA regulations.
Uncover, report, and organize details and information around claims.
Provide updates on any irregularities and discrepancies to find appropriate solutions.
Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
Identify and resolve problems and make time-sensitive decisions independently.
Investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims.
Analyze and review insurance claims for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional telephone skills
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information (adhere to HIPAA)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Meticulously organized with strong attention to detail
Speaking and understanding English is a requirement.
Must have own computer and Wi-Fi.
