Vacancy for project team member for the Mental Health for Ukraine Project (MH4U)
MH4U is project created for supporting the reform of the mental system health in Ukraine. The project is being implemented with the support of Switzerland through the Swiss Development Agency and cooperation (SDC. MH4U supports the development of a holistic, effective mental health care system health that functions in one interdepartmental space, provides improving quality of life and compliance to human rights and freedoms. During the first phase of the project (2019 – 2024), MH4U has become a trusted partner of government institutions on the national and regional levels. During phase 2 (2024 – 2028) we continue working with our partners in our target regions Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Chernivtsi and Dnipro on mental health capacity building, system development and communication campaigns.
MH4U is looking for a project coordinator for the implementation of component 3 in Dnipro:
Component 3: Improving mental health and psychosocial support services in response to the challenges of war.
Enhancing the provision of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) during wartime, particularly for people in frontline areas, military families, and first responders. This includes proposals for local and national standards of mental health and psychosocial support, as well as direct support for families affected by the war.
Input: Full-time (225 days per year) until February 2028
Role description Project Coordinators at MH4U
- Contributing to needs assessment in technical and geographic areas assigned to them by the component leader and project management
- Developing instruments required for the development of activities according to quality standards and good practice
- Researching potentials and local adaptation of instruments, constraints and risks
- Finding implementing partners for local activities and jointly develop ToR and budgets
- Coordinating implementation of activities with local stakeholders and other MH4U activities
- Monitoring implementation of activities against ToR and project monitoring framework
- Providing support and guidance to local implementing partners, solve problems and flag risks
- Reporting progress of activity implementation to component leader and project managers in regular meetings and upon request
- Participating in learning cycle meetings to identify lessons learnt and improve project instruments
- Participating in regional coordination meetings with authorities in the area of mental health and social care.
