Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join Paythex. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations, supporting team members, and maintaining compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Manuals: Develop and implement clear operational manuals for each department to standardize processes and ensure consistency.
- Team Support: Provide daily support to team members, addressing challenges and facilitating effective communication.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure a thorough understanding of banking compliance and risks, implementing measures to adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Growth Forecasting: Analyze and forecast the company's growth, making necessary adjustments to operational strategies and resources.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Reporting: Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and achievements.
- Performance Management: Train and appraise team members to ensure targets are met, setting an example of commitment, compliance, work ethics, and personal character.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records and prepare monthly reports or as otherwise required.
- Query Management: Promptly respond to queries from business partners.
- Compliance Assistance: Assist relevant stakeholders in ensuring compliance with laws and regulations related to payment services.
Hours: Your usual hours will be from 10am to 7pm. However, you will be expected to work as necessary to meet the needs of the team.
Secondary Tasks/Duties: As a member of the organization, you may be required to perform additional tasks to maintain, promote, develop, and expand the business. You must carry out your duties to the best of your ability, considering the needs of your colleagues, the organization, and its clients/customers. Compliance with the organization's rules, procedures, and policies is essential.
Management/Supervisory Responsibilities: You will have responsibility for allocated team members who will report directly to you.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role within the Fintech or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of banking compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and motivate a decentralized team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to forecast growth and implement strategic adjustments.
- Proficiency in using operational management tools and software.
- Responsible, reliable, organized, with good communication and team leadership skills.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency with computer software such as spreadsheets, databases, and CRM systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with remote teams and freelancers.
- Familiarity with financial technology trends and innovations.
