Supply Chain Manager (LOCATION: TBILISI, GEO)

Key Responsibilities
- Manages activities related to tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
- Implements supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
- Implements new or improved supply chain processes in coordination with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.
- Reviews or updates supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
- Negotiates prices, terms and conditions with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
- Develops material costs forecasts or material standard cost lists.
- Meets with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes.
- Monitors supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Monitors sales volume forecasts to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
- Works with Purchasing to identify, communicate, and resolve component shortages that impact production flow.
- Documents physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
- Selects transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
- Tracks and communicates key metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, production performance to schedule, and customer on time delivery.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Analyzes inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
- Participates in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
- Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of products
- Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each contract manufacturing site and inhouse manufacturing operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- Analyzes plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
- Plans and schedules workflow for contract manufacturers to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Expedites operations at third parties or in house manufacturing that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Prepares purchase orders to obtain materials.
- Facilitates the communication of any issues that impacts On Time and In Full Delivery.
- Makes recommendations and implement continuous improvement.
- Facilitates and is the "champion" of the S&OP process plays key role in monitoring and facilitating the collection and updating of data for the process.
- Brings cross-functional teams together in the S&OP process to jointly review metrics and issues related to the supply of the products.
Education:
- Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering or Business Administration
- English as a second language is a must.
- APICS Professional certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is desirable.
Experience:
- Prior Service -- 5-7 years of relevant experience in supply chain practices.
- Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Transportation -- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
- Computers and Electronics -- Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications
- Communicating with Persons Outside Organization -- Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
- Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others -- Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
- Project Management -- Experience with project management lifecycle, processes, and tools.
