Copywriter / UX Writer (Remote)

Children of Heroes was founded to help the countless number of Ukrainian children who have suffered the ultimate tragedy: the loss of a parent, or parents, during the ongoing war. The Fund provides the children and their families with comprehensive assistance, led by our team of Family Helpers. Our assistance programs are funded by our partners and donors.

We’re looking for a Copywriter/UX Writer (Remote / Flexible (preferred EU time zone) to join our digital marketing team and help us craft engaging, data-driven, and impactful content across various platforms to drive unrestricted donations and support for our programs.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation:
  • Develop engaging copy for paid Facebook ads, Google ads, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Create and update engaging website content using UX writing principles to optimize user experience, encourage monthly donation commitments, and inspire users to return to our website regularly.
  • Prepare SEO-friendly blog posts, whitepapers, newsletters, and reports to drive visibility and engagement.
  • Write captivating, audience-targeted content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms, adapting tone and style for each channel.
• Collaboration & Strategy:
  • Work closely with the marketing, digital, fundraising, and operations teams to understand project needs and craft effective messaging.
  • Implement and optimize A/B testing for copy effectiveness on key platforms.
  • Use data insights to refine messaging strategies and content effectiveness.
• Editing & Proofreading:
  • Proofread, edit, and rewrite content to ensure high standards in language, tone, grammar, and consistency.

 Requirements

• Essential Skills:
  • Deep understanding of UX writing principles to create intuitive and conversion-focused user experiences.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in fluent English and Ukrainian, with proven experience writing texts for websites and other digital platforms.
  • Experience in working with Western markets (EU, UK, US) is a must.
  • Experience in creating SEO-optimized content and content for paid ad campaigns (Facebook Ads, Google Ads).
  • Experience with analyzing data and using insights to track and optimize content performance for better engagement and results.
• Preferred Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing for copy and messaging effectiveness.
  • Experience writing content for email marketing, including newsletters, nurturing sequences, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Familiarity with crafting SMM posts tailored to different platforms and audiences.
  • Experience in working in the cross-functional team environment. 
• Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in copywriting, UX writing, journalism, or content marketing.
  • Strong storytelling ability with a focus on inspiring action and engagement.
