Front Desk Helpers (frontdeskhelpers.com), is a woman-founded and woman-run company based in New Jersey, USA, established in 2015. We offer a variety of services, including IT, telecommunications, customer support, and HR. Currently, we are seeking a remote Medical Billing and Collections Specialist for a billing company/revenue cycle collection in New York. The specialist in this position will be responsible for effectively pursuing outstanding account (s) and consistently generating revenue through professional billing practices and proper and ethical collection efforts. This is a fully remote full-time position.

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday 9:00 am — 5:30 pm (30 min lunch break included) & Friday 9:00 am — 3:00 pm (30 min lunch break included). All shifts are according to the New York time zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Timely follow-ups for all Worker’s Compensation and No-Fault billing and collection, claim denials, and claim appeals.
  • Thorough reviewing of charts and correspondence to determine the merits of the case.
  • Draft written responses to address any collections issues Assertive negotiate settlements on the phone and intelligent negotiation skills.
  • Work Comp Appeals Board Experience.
  • Retrieve authorizations/referrals from insurance companies.
  • Handle ALL aspects of billing: charge entry, payments, A/R management.
  • Support to all staffing locations and providers as needed working as an intermediary between our patients and their worker’s compensation carriers.
  • Prioritize daily tasks while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Supervisory or Management team.
