MHPSS COORDINATOR
MEDU is seeking a clinical coordinator with expertise in mental health to supervise the MHPSS (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support) activities of a project funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) to support the Ukrainian population.

In Ukraine, we are implementing programs focused on primary healthcare, psychosocial support, and mental health services in both urban and rural areas affected by the ongoing conflict.

Location: Based in Dnipro, with missions to Kharkiv
Conditions : Contract with a duration of 8 months; required availability to reside in Dnipro, Ukraine
Compensation : To be determined based on qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN ACTIVITIES
In collaboration with and under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, and in close cooperation with the Logistician and the Clinical Coordinator:
- Responsible for the project's MHPSS activities on the ground.
- Supervises the training and clinical activity of mental health specialists on topics such as the prevention, identification, and treatment of trauma, PTSD, and other disorders.
- Responsible for the MHPSS field team.
- Coordinates the planning and evaluation of mental health activities on the field and identifies the most complex cases, to be managed with the team according to an integrated approach.
- Supports the Project Coordinator and the Medical Clinical Coordinator in identifying priority intervention areas for MEDU's MHPSS service.
- Establishes direct relationships with local health services
- Manages the database of MHPSS activity beneficiaries, collects and systematizes health data, and prepares epidemiological reports, contributing to the health analysis for project reports.
- Collaborates with the Project Coordinator in drafting monthly activity reports and the final report.
- Supports the development and updating of informational materials, forms, and databases.
- Participates in coordination meetings with local institutions and services, and in public events for the dissemination of project results.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Psychology or Medicine.
- Specialization in the field of mental health (psychology, psychotherapy, psychiatry, or similar disciplines).
- Minimum two years of work experience in the MHPSS sector.
- Clinical experience in psychotraumatology.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Adherence to the principles of humanitarian action and MEDU's values.
- Interest in humanitarian issues and human rights.
- Proactive attitude and flexibility.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Adaptability and stress management skills.
- Team leading, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Good planning and context analysis skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural context.
- Driving license and good driving skills.
OTHER DESIRED REQUIREMENTS :
- Postgraduate training in Human Rights, Project Management, Immigration Law
- Experience working with or coordinating partner organizations or local NGOs
- Previous work experience with non-profit organizations in the social-healthcare or mental health fields
- Previous experience working in conflict-affected areas or insecure contexts.
- Knowledge of PCM (Project Cycle Management)
- Knowledge of the Italian language
- Willingness to drive
