Consultancy Description
The Occupational Therapy Technical Assistant Consultant (OT Technical Assistant Consultant) will work closely and support the OT Technical Specialist in conducting activities related to the development of OT workforce capacity and partner university resources in the network of the Rehab4U project. Those activities will focus on supporting the analysis of the OT workforce and their educational needs, the organization of the “Training of Trainers” (ToT) course for the faculty, and the organization of the OT National Conference.
Detailed Responsibilities
The OT Technical Assistant Consultant will take on the following specific responsibilities during the consultancy period:
Support the analysis of educational needs of the OT workforce.
- Support OT Technical Specialist in analyzing data received from the national stakeholders.
- Support in preparation of the draft report on analysis of the educational needs of the OT workforce.
- Organize meetings with relevant stakeholders, if needed.
Support the implementation of a situational analysis on the current resources of selected universities, which will enable the creation/ alignment of OT Master's-level programs with national and international standards.
- Support OT Technical Specialist in identifying universities for cooperation and preparing the report with the results of the university's selection.
- Support in preparation of the draft reports on current resources of selected universities, which will enable the creation/ alignment of OT Master's-level programs with national and international standards.
- Organize meetings and communicate with the partner universities staff, if needed.
Support the development and implementation of a ToT course for occupational therapy faculty to advance the professional expertise of university faculty for further improvement of the graduates’ quality.
- Support developing a course design and program and engaging trainers.
- Support in the selection of the trainees and ongoing communication with them.
- Organize online training sessions.
- Preparing technical tasks for training location, catering services, printing, etc.
- Preparing the location for the training and support trainers and trainees transfers and accommodation.
- Preparing the draft report after the training.
Support the conduction of the annual Occupational Therapy Conference.
- Support the Ukrainian Society of Ergotherapists in organizing the annual OT Conference.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Master`s degree in the rehabilitation field, preferably in occupational therapy.
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in the occupational therapy field.
- Demonstrated experience in organizing trainings, workshops, conferences, etc.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, especially in analyzing data in Excel.
- Fluency in Ukrainian, basic level in English
