About your new job:

The Legal Counsel in house provides a broad range of legal and compliance services, support and counselling, to several functions of the Company and the Ukrainian operations. The Legal Counsel is part of the Country Legal Team reporting to the BU Legal Director. The advice given and services provided are strategic, timely, proactive, practical, cost-effective and meet the highest legal, ethical and professional standards.

Our new team member needs to:

• Have higher Law degree;
• Have at least 6 years of professional experience as a lawyer in a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel;
• Have bar exam successfully passed - license to practice law in front of Ukrainian Courts – will be an advantage;
• Have solid background \ knowledge at least in the following legal areas: Economic, Contract, Finance and Corporate Law, representation during inspections, obtaining licenses and permits etc.
• Have experience in the FMCG sector is a plus;
• Have fluency in English (is a must);
• Have positive communication style, excellent and effective communication skills, with ability to handle complex issues;
• Have excellent organizational skills in order to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Have ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced work environment, taking initiative and autonomy, demonstrating ability to learn quickly.

You can be successful in this role if:

• You will be partnering with internal clients (e.g. Supply Chain, Health and Safety, Finance Departments) by considering immediate legal and compliance issues in a broad business context and identifying business purposes and objectives; proactively applies legal and compliance expertise to address the specific business activity; developing alternative legal solutions in order to enable the achievement of successful business outcomes;
• You will be drafting and participating in negotiations of a wide range of contracts;
• You will be collaborating effectively with members of the Country Legal Team and Group Legal Team to provide timely, business-oriented advice to internal commercial clients on legal and compliance issues;
• You have expert understanding of Ukrainian laws, regulations and policies in specialized legal areas, as well as in Company policies and procedures, strong knowledge of laws, regulations and policies.

The main office of the company is located in Velyka Dymerka. Corporate buses are provided from metro stations Chernihivska and Lybidska, and also, from the city of Brovary and the settlements of Velyka Dymerka, Bohdanivka, Kalyta.
