• Ensuring that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in all activities of PIU
• Undertaking advocacy on the Safeguarding Policy and AAP at all levels across the office and partner organisations
• Providing advice, support and guidance to managers and staff ensuring that adequate Safeguarding Policy measures are integrated into office operations, processes and programmes
• Delivering mandatory Safeguarding Policy briefings, inductions and/or workshops
• Representing Plan International in relevant external fora and interagency working groups
• Developing and coordinating a network of AAP and SG focal points, provide support with maintaining and developing child friendly feedback mechanisms

- Liaise with partners from among organisations of people with disabilities and older people;

- Monitor and analyse protection situation;

- Develop the agenda, complete, and validate minutes of the meeting and coordinate a secretariat to guide the development of the ADTWG activities;

- Provide technical inputs to documentation, training modules, tools and other resources produced by the ADTWG;

- Issue a Newsletter on Age and Disability in Ukraine and maintaining the ADTWG page on ReliefWeb, that serves as one-stop-shop for age and disability related technical documents and guidances.

- Program implementation and quality: reinforcing adherence to the CP guiding principles throughout all CP and partners activities;

- Plan, supervise and oversee provision of prevention and response activities for children and their families;

- Assess implementation progress and identify technical quality issues or other concerns and propose solutions;

- Submit the updated weekly report and tracker on activities led, success stories, lessons learned, etc.

- Participate in strategy development and implementation;

- Stay on top of the CP landscape in Ukraine, providing insights and highlighting issues;

- Manage and supervise the CP team;

- Adjust programmes, trainings, and approaches to the context.

- Support the Advocacy Manager in implementation of Advocacy and Communications plans for the mission and field offices;

- Support the team in collecting the appropriate information in the field to be used for advocacy activities;

- Elaborate reports, factsheets, policy briefs, etc. highlighting advocacy messages;

- Be in charge of social media representation, creating posts, photos, posters, writing success stories and articles.

• Provide technical expertise, quality assurance and support for Save the Children's child protection program in line with international best practice

Capacity building

• Build the capacity of program, partner staff, stakeholders in line with program priorities
• Develop child protection-specific training packages, conduct workshops, trainings and other learning events for project teams, partners and other stakeholders
• Provide direct technical support to partners implementing child protection activities with Save the Children
• Participate in global learning and capacity building event and cascade learning to the team as appropriate

• Engage with child protection expertise available within the organization globally, including members, communities of practice and networks to be well aware of thematic updates, best practices, project models, etc.
  
• Ensure that child protection programs are of high quality with reliable data and outcomes, in collaboration with the MEAL team
• Ensure that program experience in Ukraine contributes to regional and global learning
  
• Maintain high intelligence of the country context in child protection area and continuously explore information on needs, issues and constraints
• Contribute to development of TORs for child protection-related assessments and research.
• Lead processes to ensure globally proven approaches are contextualised for Ukraine
• Strengthen program learning and documentation on child protection, in collaboration with the MEAL team
• Lead on technical proposal development for concepts and proposals related to child protection programming, ensuring that proposals are evidence-based and participatory (including partners and children)
• Ensure that technical proposals are aligned with SCI's Country Strategic Plan, Common Approaches and SCI global priorities
• Ensure that technical proposals are integrated with other thematic areas, that gender, inclusion and resilience are mainstreamed at the very least
• Support the Child Safeguarding Focal Points to ensure that child protection proposals are safe for children

• Develop and update child protection technical strategies, in line with SCI Ukraine's strategic priorities, and SCI global child protection objectives and approaches

• Oversee and monitor the quality and quantity of psychosocial activities under supervision of Protection Coordinator;
• Support PSS staff in provision of integrated case management and psychosocial support to the conflict-affected population;
• Develop together with Protection Coordinator and conduct trainings on PSS for service providers
• Ensure service delivery and quality standards in line with the IASC MHPSS guidelines and other best practices;
• Ensure regular disaggregated and cumulative tracking of beneficiaries, and documentation of all activities and outcomes;
• Follow up on development of referral pathways;
• Conduct regular supervision sessions for PSS staff;
• Contribute to development of harmonized guidelines and procedures for PSS activities;
• Prepare reports on the protection activities as requested by Protection Coordinator;
• Assess the evolving needs for PSS support and advise Protection Coordinator on development of the plan of action, including relevant program materials and tools;

• Engage community leaders, community-based organizations, and other service providers in supporting beneficiaries to access PSS services;

• Maintain program files and documentation as per program management minimum standards, including maintaining the confidentiality and security of client data.
