Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow);
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with accounting principles, laws, and regulatory standards (, Ukrainian law & IFRS);
- Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process and address any findings.
- Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure proper execution of accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger;
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure effective operations and prevent errors;
- Oversee daily accounting operations and provide guidance to staff on complex accounting issues.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Analyze trends and financial results to support strategic decision-making.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Oversee cash management and liquidity to ensure the organization can meet its financial obligations.
- Tax Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax filings, including corporate taxes, VAT, and other applicable taxes;
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure the company’s compliance.
- Financial Analysis:
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business operations and strategic initiatives;
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management, investors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred);
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting (preferably international company), with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role;
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle);
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax laws;
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Language requirements: English B1 - B2.
Desirable Skills:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation;
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools and data analytics;
- Ability to work cross-functionally and interact with senior leadership;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
