Trucking dispatcher (Flatbed, US market)

AVA EXPRESS INC provides comprehensive hauling services throughout the entire 48 states, DC and is actively seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher with a background in dispatching or transportation planning.

Dispatcher with a background in dispatching or transportation planning to join our leading trucking/construction team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for communication with haulers and brokers / customers to fulfill truck orders efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate has a background in dispatching, is organized, detail-oriented, can problem solve quickly and efficiently and can thrive in a fast-paced environment as well as showing good resistance to the stress.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transportation activities of multiple vehicle types for several companies with fleet sizes varying from 1-10 trucks.
• Receive and process broker rate confirmations.
• Assign drivers and vehicles to specific routes and deliveries.
• Monitor driver progress and provide updates to brokers/customers as needed.
• Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation operations.
• Maintain accurate records (CRM) of dispatch activities and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize transportation efficiency.
• Able to deal with pressure.
• Maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching or transportation planning.
• Proficiency in using dispatch software and systems.
• Knowledge of freight shipping and receiving processes. (FB only)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and other team members.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues or challenges that may arise during transportation operations.
• Accurate data entry skills for maintaining dispatch records.
• Knowledge of CRM input
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
