I have a lot of experience in starting businesses and growing them. As a teacher, I am unique, as I have had such a multi-dimensional life and have dipped my feet in many realms. This makes my classes, especially speaking classes very interesting. My past businesses include a travel agency, a farm, a farm tractor/backhoe construction business, a commercial salmon fishing boat on Canada's west coast, and other successful and unsuccessful small ventures. With the help of a Japanese boat builder, I helped build my second fishing boat with some unique features.

I am not a teacher who trained to be a teacher, I lived a full interesting life and then became a teacher. I also have knowledge in the public company sphere and even worked on an oil rig in Canada. So I can likely have a knowledgeable conversation about almost any topic.

As a teacher, I speak clearly and might be the easiest teacher to understand that you've ever met. We have a term in English called 'Don't baffle them with B.S." meaning you speak about difficult topics to make yourself look impressive. That is not me! I explain things clearly and don't get into complicated grammar structures that are not useful.
