I was Involved within a small internal project which intention was to expand available analytical tools spectrum bringing the power of BigData stack presented by Hortonworks components.

I carried out the typical responsibilities of a regular Oracle DBA administrator and worked as a member of a small IT department in the Ukrainian branch of one of the biggest banks of Greece.

I was in charge of performing installation tuning and maintenance of Oracle single-instance databases in different variations of configurations utilizing the following stack of software products and technologies:

Oracle RDBMS 10.2/11.2/12.2; Grid Infrastructure with its components like Oracle Restart and ASM; Oracle Data Guard with Physical and Logical Standby Databases; Oracle ODBC; Oracle

Linux 5/6/7; multipathing, NFS, LVM.

All those configurations worked on top of physical and virtual servers inside different types of enterprise environments.

I closely worked with developers and processed end-user requests. I wrote and dug bash and SQL code.

Performed installation, configuration and maintenance tasks for Oracle 9.2i/11.2g/12.2c and PostgreSQL 9.6/10 database servers across development and production environments. Had hands on experience with GreenPlum and Pentaho PDI.

Performed installation, configuration and provided support for Oracle 12c with RAC.

I was in charge of doing installation, configuration and providing support for Oracle 10.2.0.X/11.2.0.X database servers with underlining Oracle Linux software working on top of physical and virtual hardware in development, test and production environments. I've performed database migration with consolidation using Oracle data pump. I've created and recreated physical standby servers. I've had hands on experience with Oracle Data Guard HA technology. Designed and implemented backup strategy.

I've worked in the Head Office of the Ukrainian Branch of OTP Bank in Kiev. I've prepared environments for testing and development purposes for banking software products like B2, iFOBS, FLEXCUBE, ISCARD with Oracle RDBMS in the center of every such configuration.

I've worked as a member of an international team in one of the most well known international banks. I was in charge of closely monitoring execution of some automated processes built upon Autosys , Windows Servers, MS SQL Servers and such technologies as powershell, vbs, SSIS, T-SQL etc. In cases of troubles me and my colleagues we had to solve problems with our own efforts and in the event the issue persisted, escalate it to the third line.

I’ve performed many different maintenance tasks for many types of banking software. I’ve provided L1 support and raised tickets and CRs. I’ve handled telephone calls, processed emails and provided end-user assistance.
