Channel Manager – Huawei Digital Power (Ukraine)

About Huawei

Huawei is a global leader in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Digital Power solutions. Continuously innovating based on customer needs, we are committed to enhancing customer experience and creating maximum value for telecom carriers, enterprises, and consumers.
Our solutions in solar inverters, energy storage, and smart energy management are deployed in more than 170 countries and regions. Huawei ranked No. 49 on the Global Fortune 500 in 2020 and continues to lead the digital energy transition globally.

Position Overview

As a Channel Manager, you will be responsible for developing and leading the Huawei inverter and energy storage channel network in Ukraine.
Your primary goal is to build and maintain a strong partner ecosystem consisting of distributors, key installers, EPCs, and solution partners — ensuring Huawei remains the preferred choice in a competitive and fast-evolving market.

You will focus on strategic business development, relationship management, and sales growth, while all routine operational matters (PO, rebate processing, system entries) are managed by the Channel Operation Manager.

Main Responsibilities

1. Channel Strategy & Market Development

  • Develop and execute the channel development strategy for Huawei’s solar and ESS products in Ukraine, aligned with market trends and corporate objectives.
  • Identify, recruit, and nurture tier-1 and tier-2 distributors, as well as leading installer networks, to ensure comprehensive market coverage and sustainable growth.
  • Continuously analyze the competitive landscape and adapt partner strategy to maintain Huawei’s premium market position.
  • Work with the marketing team and ecosystem partners to organize roadshows, training sessions, and promotional campaigns that strengthen Huawei brand visibility and channel loyalty.

2. Partner Relationship Management

  • Maintain close cooperation with key distributors, EPCs, and large installers — building strong, long-term partnerships based on mutual business growth.
  • Support partners with business planning, sell-out strategy, and channel enablement, ensuring sales targets and coverage goals are achieved.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with partners to track performance, assess pipeline, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor partner satisfaction and ensure timely resolution of escalations in coordination with internal service, logistics, and marketing teams.

3. Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Collaborate with the Channel Operation Manager to ensure smooth execution of partner operations, including purchase order management, bonus calculation, and system updates.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Service, and Solution teams to ensure a unified customer experience and strong technical-commercial support across all partner touchpoints.
  • Ensure alignment with direct sales and utility segments, avoiding channel conflicts through transparent communication and compliance with Huawei’s rules of engagement.

4. Business Insight & Forecasting

  • Collect and analyze market data, competitor intelligence, and partner feedback, providing actionable insights to regional management.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, PSI (purchase, sales, inventory) management, and ensure healthy sell-through across all distributors.
  • Contribute to quarterly business reviews and long-term channel planning based on market potential and partner performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in channel or partner management roles.
  • Experience in renewable energy, power electronics, or electrical equipment industry will be a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Ukrainian PV and ESS markets, including residential and C&I dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in managing distribution and installer networks and driving sales through indirect channels.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Energy, or Business Administration (technical background preferred).
  • Fluent in Ukrainian and English (Chinese is an advantage).
  • Ability to travel frequently across Ukraine and occasionally abroad.

What We Offer

  • A professional career in a global technology leader driving the energy transition.
  • Opportunity to shape the market and work directly with leading distributors and EPCs.
  • Competitive compensation package with performance-based bonuses.
  • Continuous learning and training through Huawei’s global programs and certifications.
  • A dynamic, innovative, and international work environment with high career growth potential.
