Database Specialist (MS SQL)
Reckitt is the world's leading consumer health and hygiene company.
We are looking for a Database Specialist to support and maintain our internal Microsoft SQL Server database.
You will work with an existing database, maintain SQL jobs, handle data requests, and resolve basic issues. A technical vendor is available for advanced tasks - you will also coordinate their work.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and support the existing Microsoft SQL Server database.
Work in SSMS 2014 and SQL Server Agent: monitor, troubleshoot, and support existing jobs and schedules.
Write SQL queries to extract data, create new reports, and support operational requests.
Provide one-time and recurring data outputs for the Sales department (primary stakeholder)
Investigate and fix basic breakdowns in SQL queries, transformations, or job logic
Coordinate with an external technical vendor: define tasks, evaluate complexity, and ensure cost efficiency.
Monitor data quality, perform basic diagnostics, and ensure smooth daily operation of data processes.
Maintain, adjust, and update existing sales and operational reports.
Requirements
Practical experience with MS SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Basic–intermediate SQL skills: confident with SELECT, JOINs, GROUP BY, simple CTEs; ability to read and modify existing queries.
Understanding of SQL Server Agent (jobs, schedules, logs, dependencies).
Experience with large datasets or operational/business reporting.
The candidate must be able to read, understand, and adjust ETL logic.
Strong attention to detail, responsibility, and accuracy when working with data.
English - intermediate or higher (reading documentation, communicating with global team if needed).
