Purpose:

Brand Manager develops & shapes the strategy and positioning of a product in Ukraine with the purpose of effectively contributing to the achievement of business objectives (volume, revenues, market share etc.), through effective brand planning in line with the global, regional and cluster product strategy. 

Key Tasks: 

  • Leads the creation and development of the Country Strategic Brand Foundation in alignment with the Country Engagement Team (CET) and with nucleus, where applicable, based on global, regional and nucleus strategic brand plans. 
  • Acts as the liaison between Nucleus and local CET, supporting the effective communication, flow of information and brand-related education, while providing timely guidance on all brand-related activities. Responsible for creating, leading and rolling-out the CEC (Customer Evolution Campaigns) and Tactical campaigns in full alignment with the CETs, based on global/cluster CEB (Customer Engagement Blueprint). 
  • Establishes learning cycles and KPI’s to campaigns and activities. 
  • Ensures the development and roll-out of all brand-related marketing and communication materials (brochures, displays, etc.) for sales activities, tradeshows, and other events of the company and marketing implementation at all product phases. 
  • Collaborates actively and closely with CET, Nucleus team (cross-functionally) and SMBS Marketing & Customer Excellence team to implement integrated multi-channel marketing activities, leveraging sales input, digital metrics and all available communication channels within agreed budget and timelines, across cluster. 
  • Prepares and monitors on a monthly basis revenues’ forecast and product supply. 
  • Proposes investments  to the nucleus team to get them funded within the resource flexibilization process (for foundational and flexible expenses), analyzes relevant KPIs, taking into consideration P&L monitoring and forecasting, and suggests contingency plans in case of business risks. 
  • Manages the allocation and is responsible for the monitoring of the promotional budget to achieve maximum ROI. 
  • Ensures the achievement of the brand objectives and provides business expectations through the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Plans and organizes marketing-related internal and external promotional events (e.g. sponsorships, lectures etc.), manages the promotional budget of the related products along with the KAMs, while develops and manages relationships with selected Thought Leaders, HCPs, Scientific Societies and other important stakeholders. 
  • Represents Bayer in scientific conferences and similar fora. 
  • Coordinates pre-marketing, advertising and promotional programs, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration with associated functions (i.e. LPC, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Market Access etc.).
  • Collaborates closely with Customer Excellence team to keep abreast of market intelligence data, including industry and products’ trends & insights, competitors, market status etc., and translate them into actionable strategic actions. 
  • Participates and contributes in market research activities. 
  • Overviews the development of knowledge for products under responsibility in cooperation with relevant functions, safeguarding the provision of sales force colleagues and KAMs with relevant material and ensuring adequate training on new product launches, indications, enhancements etc.

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Education: University degree or above, preferably, but not limited to Life Sciences, Marketing, Business; additional marketing/business related studies are an advantage. 
  • Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry  in Sales, Medical or Marketing with advanced analytical skills and the ability to perform data analysis and interpretation, and manage data complexity. Knowledge of the ophthalmology market will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to deal with complex therapeutic areas and high-profile scientific stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in managing budget, marketing activation, brand plans, market research etc. 
  • Proven ability to assess external market factors, major competitive drivers and key trends to secure competitive advantage Business acumen, innovative thinking and passion to deliver great results. 
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional and cross-border environment and strong customer orientation. 
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization and to influence others. 
  • Excellent level of communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Strong digital mindset and skills, ability to quickly adopt new technology. 
  • Learning Agility. 
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and good command of English (both in written & verbal). 
  • Responsible and well organized. 
  • Creative and result-oriented.
