«Save the Children International» — гуманітарна організація з понад 100-річною історією.                                                                                                                              Save the Children була заснована у травні 1919 року в Лондоні. 

SCI працює в Україні з 2014. Починала свою роботу на території Донецької області. В теперішній час SCI розширює свою діяльність на вісім міст України, і Миколаїв є одним із них.

Мета Позиції: 

• MEAL Manager відіграє вирішальну роль у забезпеченні стратегічного нагляду та оперативного керівництва програмою MEAL в межах регіонального офісу. До його обов'язків входить постійний набір та розвиток команди MEAL у відповідному регіоні, а також нагляд та розвиток потенціалу членів команди, включаючи координатора, консультантів та асистентів. 
• Він/вона на цій посаді пропонуватиме стратегічні ідеї, консультації та підтримку для всього портфелю проектів у регіоні, забезпечуючи високоякісний процес управління даними, який адаптується до нових технологій. Крім того, він/вона зосередиться на сприянні навчанню та збору даних для підвищення ефективності програми. Він/вона отримує технічну підтримку від MEAL і тісно співпрацює з радниками MEAL Advisors та іншими посадовими особами в національній структурі MEAL з питань технічної підтримки проєктів. Безпосередньо підпорядковується керівнику програм (HoP).

ОСНОВНІ ОБОВ’ЯЗКИ:

• Нести відповідальність за розгортання та впровадження системи MEAL для проєктів, що реалізуються поза межами SАО.
• Забезпечити використання MEAL SOPs.
• Переконатися, що співробітники MEAL, та інші співробітники, які беруть участь у  проєктах, розуміють різні етапи та інструменти системи MEAL.
• Підтримувати команду MEAL в SAO, під час проведення моніторингу якості, відповідно до стандартів SCI за допомогою методологій, що передбачають широку участь (у тому числі методологій, дружніх до дітей).
• Надавати технічну підтримку та брати участь, за необхідності, у всіх інших аспектах діяльності, пов'язаної з MEAL, на місцевому рівні, наприклад, в опитуваннях, аналізах, базових показниках, оцінках, спільних оглядах проєктів/семінарах/заходах з вивчення досвіду.
• Спрямовувати дії команди MEAL, відповідно до процедур SOP для MEAL (моніторинг, оцінка, навчання та підзвітність) і розробляти адаптації цих процедур відповідно до контексту своєї області.
• Нести відповідальність за бюджетне планування та витрати, пов'язані з діяльністю MEAL.
• Переконатися, що персонал проєкту, відповідальний за реалізацію, повністю залучений і розуміє вимоги MEAL.
• Забезпечити ефективний розподіл ресурсів та дотримання бюджетних обмежень.

Щоб бути успішним, Вам необхідно  мати:

• Ступінь бакалавра/магістра в галузі економіки, соціології, менеджменту, соціального розвитку або у відповідній сфері.
• Вільне володіння українською та англійською мовами, як усною, так і письмовою.
• Досвід роботи з моніторингом, оцінкою, навчанням та підзвітністю в міжнародних організаціях або NGOs.
• Сильні лідерські якості та навички управління командою.
• Знання стандартних галузевих інструментів та технологій управління даними.
• Чудова увага до деталей, організаторські здібності та обачність у поводженні з конфіденційною інформацією.
• Досвід роботи з MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook.
• Здатність працювати самостійно та ініціативно.
• Перевірена здатність справлятися зі складним робочим навантаженням.
• Прихильність до цінностей «Save the Children» та захисту дітей.

MEAL Manager

«Save the Children International» is the humanitarian organization with more than 100 years of history. Save the Children was founded in May 1919 in London.

SCI has been working in Ukraine since 2014. The Organization started its work in the territory of the Donetsk region. Currently, SCI is expanding its activities to eight cities of Ukraine, and Mykolaiv is one of them.

We work in the directions of education, child protection, overcoming child poverty, health care, and also we have advocacy activities related to the protection of children's rights.

Main responsibilities:

The MEAL Manager plays a crucial role in providing strategic oversight and operational leadership for MEAL within the Area office. Responsibilities include ongoing recruitment and development of the broader MEAL team in the respective area, as well as overseeing and building the capacity of team members, including coordinators, officers, and assistants. This encompasses roles such as the accountability officer and database officer.

The incumbent will offer strategic insights, advice, and support for the entire project portfolio within the area, ensuring a high-quality data management process that adapts to new technologies. Additionally, they will focus on promoting learning and evidence to enhance program effectiveness. The role receives technical support from the Head of MEAL (HoM) and collaborates closely with MEAL Advisors and other positions within the national MEAL structure for project technical support. Direct reporting is to the Head of Programs (HoP).

Key Areas of Accountability:

•        Undertake responsibility for the roll-out and implementation of the MEAL frameworks, systems for projects implemented out of the SAO.

•        Ensure the use of the MEAL SOPs.

•        Ensure that MEAL, area operations and project staff understand the various steps and tools for the MEAL system and that this is used consistently across projects / areas.

•        Support a Area MEAL team to conduct quality monitoring against SCI standards through participatory methodologies (including child-friendly methodologies).

•        Provide technical support and participate as required in all other aspects of MEAL related activities at field level, for example surveys, assessments, baselines, evaluations, joint projects reviews / lessons learning workshops/events.

•        Guide MEAL team actions following up the SOP procedures for MEAL (monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability) and developing adaptations of those procedures according to their area context.

•        Take responsibility for budget planning and spending related to MEAL activities.

•        Ensure project staff responsible for implementation are fully engaged and understand MEAL requirements.

•        Ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to budgetary constraints.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU NEED TO HAVE: 

• BSc/ MSc degree in economics, sociology, management, social development or a relevant field.
• Fluency in Ukrainian, Russian and English, both verbal and written, preferred.
• Commitment to Save the Children values.
• Experience working with monitoring, evaluation, learning, and accountability with International Organizations or inside SC.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with industry-standard data management tools and technologies.
