The ICRC has several Rosters and Pools for different professions. To join an ICRC Roster and Pool, we will assess your expertise and professional experience against the below-mentioned criteria and invite you for an online technical test. Once you have passed the test, you will join the specific ICRC Roster and Pool. As soon as we have a suitable vacancy, we will actively reach out to you, discuss the position, your interest, and availability. 

About the job 

For our Logistics Department and fleet team, we are looking for Drivers. A driver will transport people and goods in a safe and timely manner, in accordance with ICRC rules and regulations and Ukrainian traffic laws.    

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Transport people and/or material in strict adherence to internal security rules and Ukrainian traffic laws 
• Constantly monitor security conditions on the road
• Ensure that goods are stored inside the vehicle according to local, international and ICRC safety standards 
• Check assigned vehicles’ equipment, general functioning and condition and ensure that it is kept fueled and clean 
• Check that trips have been authorized
• Report accidents, defects and/or missing equipment 
• May act as head of convoy 
• Ensure that risks are mitigated by performing the controls assigned

About you

To be successful in this Roster and Pool recruitment, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:   

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• Secondary school diploma
• Driving license B and D1 (minibus) held for at least 5 years with clean records
• Driving license C is an asset
• Good knowledge of spoken & written English
• Good knowledge of the geographically environment
• Masters 4/4 
• Basic knowledge of car mechanics and automobile maintenance experience
• Experience in a similar position an asset
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
• Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
