ENGINEER (CONSTRUCTION)

About CPMA

Central Project Management Agency (CPMA) is a governmental agency of Lithuania with more than 20 years of experience, an annual budget of 15 billion Euro and a professional team of more than 600 employees working in project management and public investments.

The CPVA acts as Lithuania's international development cooperation agency, transferring Lithuanian and EU expertise to partner countries, focusing on Ukraine's Recovery. Projects focus on rebuilding infrastructure, institutional strengthening, education, veteran rehabilitation, and demining.

Currently the CPMA is managing a portforlio of more than 20 projects, funded by Lithuania, the European Union and other donors worth approximately 155 million Euro. 

Position:   Engineer (Construction)

We are offering a position for an Engineer to provide advisory service for construction and reconstruction projects implemented by CPVA in Ukraine throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring that design, procurement, construction, and building operation comply with applicable legal and technical standards, contractual requirements, and Ukrainian and international best practices.

Requirements:

  • Higher technical education (preferably in construction engineering or related field);
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the construction/reconstruction or infrastructure projects;
  • Understanding of provision of technical project design and technical supervision services in accordance with Ukrainian regulatory requirements;
  • Strong knowledge of Ukrainian construction regulations and construction process; 
  • Intermediate level of English language proficiency is preferred. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and monitor construction and/or reconstruction activities in compliance with technical and regulatory standards;
  • Review and assess design documentation, technical specifications, and drawings for compliance with project requirements and applicable standards;
  • Provide technical advice to the CPVA on construction methods, materials, and engineering solutions;
  • Represent CPVA while supervising construction and/or reconstruction works at the project sites;
  • Coordinate actions and communication between CPVA, the contractors, project end beneficiaries and relevant Ukrainian institutions;
  • Review technical project documentation, including acts of completed works, acts of hidden works, proposed changes to the technical design documentation and similar documents; 
  • Conduct site visits to construction sites, across different regions of Ukraine;
  • Participate in coordination meetings involving CPVA, the contractor in Ukraine, and the end beneficiaries
