About Iron Rock Ventures:
Iron Rock Ventures is a dynamic and rapidly growing company in the consumer product goods (CPG) industry. We specialize in selling merchandise through various channels, including online marketplaces like Amazon and Shopify, as well as through wholesale partnerships with major retailers like Walmart and Target. We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Finance to join our team and play a crucial role in managing our financial operations and driving strategic financial planning.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial reports, including Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and optimize financial performance.
- Create and manage sales projections, forecasts, and budgets for different departments within the company.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking and optimization of inventory levels.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, maintaining strong relationships with vendors and customers.
- Lead financial planning and analysis efforts to identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue growth, and profitability improvement.
- Monitor and analyze financial metrics and KPIs to assess business performance and drive strategic initiatives.
- Manage financial operations for online market sales platforms (Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop) and wholesale customers (Walmart, Target), including sales reconciliation, pricing strategies, and payment processing.
- Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth initiatives and strategic projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior finance role, preferably in the CPG industry or related retail sector.
- Strong financial analysis skills, with expertise in P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow analysis, and financial modeling.
- Proficiency in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Experience with inventory management, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with online market sales platforms (Amazon, Shopify) and wholesale operations (Walmart, Target) is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a finance team.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
