Risk Coordinator

VisionFund Ukraine is the financial institution aimed at providing loans and other services to micro and small businesses in Ukraine. 

We finance micro and small businesses to foster further development, create opportunities for income generation, and generate new employment, thus opening up new possibilities to support and grow communities.

We are seeking a Risk Coordinator who is attentive to detail, capable of identifying and mitigating risks, and proficient in developing comprehensive risk management approached and strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of risks related to financing activities and ways of their mitigation, and the ability to interact with various stakeholders. This person should be proactive in seeking enhancements to processes, integrating new data sources, and ensuring that all strategies align with the company’s risk appetite and profitability goals.

Responsibilities:

• Risk Determination and Mitigation:
  • Determine, assess and propose actions to mitigate risks involved in establishing and maintaining various client and industry relationships.
  • Evaluate all pilots, products, new processes, and procedures from a risk perspective and propose respective risk-mitigating actions
• Metrics and Monitoring:
  • Creates/assess metrics (including those for scoring models) and monitoring procedures with regard to transactional risks.
  • Track the performance of portfolios across the customer lifecycle.
• Strategy and Process Enhancement:
  • Ensure strategies are within the company’s Risk Appetite and satisfy pre-defined profitability hurdles.
  • Proactively seek and recommend enhancements to processes and development.
  • Responsible for integrating new data sources and solutions into credit risk strategies.
• Corporate Planning and Training:
  • Consult with management to provide assistance in corporate planning.
  • Train   Business Advisors on clients’ risk assessment, including assessment of financial standing.

 Requirements:

• A master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management within a financial institution in Ukraine.
• Demonstrated experience in assessing and mitigating risks, as well as developing risk strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work in a high-paced and demanding environment;
• High level of organization and attention to detail;
• Motivated by and committed to the Vision, Mission and Core Values of our organization;
• English language proficiency at least Upper-Intermediate level.

Preferred:

• A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, CFA)
