Contract duration: 4 months with a possibility of extension

Employment type: Full-time

Project areas: Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro oblasts.

Under the supervision of the GFFO Project Manager, coordinator (Project Officer) is responsible for ensuring the daily implementation of the projects and the achievement of the objectives defined by humedica according to the donor requirements and internal policies and procedures.  

The Project Officer is responsible for planning, managing, monitoring  activities and measuring results from Logframe indicators.  

Key tasks 

1. Plans the distribution and use of supplies for various geographic areas.

2. Conducts reviews of supplier orders and conducts post-transfer monitoring.

3. Utilizes software to collect and process data from all sources to verify and monitor the project and its impact.

4. Organizes training sessions and facilitates the search for qualified trainers.

5. Conducts community needs assessments.

6. Oversees and plans health improvement activities in both supported health facilities and communities.

7. Performs additional work for the Project Manager in developing other materials.

8. Supports the Project Manager in assessing the capacity of the local health system and initiates new approaches.

9. Assists in assessing medical supply needs for the acquisition and use of supplies for transfer and participates in the prioritization of medical supplies in the program.

10. Conducts and participates in any field surveys, data collection, and/or demand assessments.

11. Ensures the implementation of all organizational activities aimed at improving the health care system in the zones, in accordance with the plan and in agreement with the project manager.

12. Participates in all field research, data collection, and coordination with other partners.

13. Participates in meetings and workshops with local/international organizations and other entities, including participation in coordination platforms in the region (Sustria Clusters and TWG).

14. Fulfils other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Knowledge 

  • A university degree in a relevant field, such as social studies, project management, health, or similar. 
  • Proven experience working with both international and local NGOs. 
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating projects funded by international donors. 
  • Strong understanding of the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) and humanitarian principles. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Required Competencies

  • Exceptional strategic decision-making and communication abilities, including skills in reporting and presenting to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Good level in written and spoken English and Ukrainian.
  • Proven teamwork, coordination, and planning skills.
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access) and communication tools (Teams, email).
  • Strong time management capabilities, with the ability to thrive under pressure.
