Emergency Response Officer

The purpose of the Emergency Response Officer is to coordinate and lead the FADV emergency response initiatives in Zaporizhzhia. This role is responsible to lead in rapid assessments, coordination of response, monitoring and reporting. The role will also be responsible to continuously follow context changes and together with Head of Mission prepare necessary for emergency deployments. The role is also responsible to support FADV emergency response strategy in the area.

Roles and Responsibilities

Overall oversight and management of FADV emergency response in Zaporizhzhia.

Responsible for context analysis and security in the area

In close collaboration with the Head Of Mission ensure the development and daily basis implementation of the emergency response

Lead the procurement process and prepositioning of supplies

Skills and Experience

Post-graduate with minimum 3 years of experience within technical expertise area in a humanitarian context

Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts

Emergency Response expertise

Humanitarian coordination experience

Strong managerial and interpersonal skills

Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities

Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile

Fluency in English, both written and verbal

Access to a Schengen visa is required for positions in Ukraine

 

Duty Station: Ukraine, Zaporizhia

Unaccompanied 6 month contract
