Primary analysis of the market and list of key initiatives
Set up meeting with sponsors and stakeholders.
The discussion of needs, expectations, budget, timeframe – the scope of the project need to be ascertained. When the scope is clear – the planning phase.
Prioritization of the set up (by stakeholders & Sponsors) goals
Outlining the project objectives, metrics, benefits that need to be achieved
Project plan need to be created
Defining project schedule linked with all the deliverable’s due dates in the project plan
Determining necessary resources: time/human resources/budget/soft-] hard-ware, that need to
be distributed for each task
Identifying task and cross function dependencies, it needs to be ensured that each step will be well
planned to run smoothly
Team Brainstorm meeting - involving team members for setting the expectations, project schedule
and assigning tasks, that will suit the best to their experience/ qualification/ knowledge/ skills,
throughout them
Setting up success criteria’s (KPI can be established for different teams, or even for specific job
roles on the project)
Identifying risks (making an assessment) that can occur during the project, when the risks will be
known, they can be avoided or minimized
Setting up milestones in the project with SMART structure in mind
Optimization of resources (human resources, hardware, software) need to be done (keep in mind
time difference between team members, investment firm and CEO due to their location)
Roadmap/Gantt Chart/Kanban Board to visualize tasks, goals, deadlines of
the project and tracking the progress
Creation of baseline where is all the final plans will be shown, and that is how the progress can be
tracked
Documentation package (Scope Statement, Cost Control, Plan Presentation) needs to be prepared
Present and approve the project plan with the estimated schedule and milestones, discussions (keep in mind of the status progress reports for stakeholders)
Accumulation of all documents, plans, tasks and materials (with few copies) in one place where it can be tracked, edited and updated
