PHP Developer (Laravel, WordPress)

Requirements:

• 2+ years of commercial experience as a PHP Developer, specifically working with WordPress, WooCommerce, and Laravel in an IT service company

• Languages: Proficiency in Ukrainian for internal communication and English at B1-B2 level for client interactions

• GitHub repository or portfolio showcasing relevant projects, particularly with WordPress and Laravel

• Strong in customizing WordPress themes and plugins

• Familiar with WooCommerce setup, configuration and optimization for eCommerce

• Able to develop custom solutions with WooCommerce hooks and filters

• Experience with Laravel and popular Laravel packages via Composer; Knowledge of common Laravel tools: e.g., Eloquent ORM, Blade templates, and Middleware

• Experience integrating and customizing various Payment Gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Mollie) in both WordPress and Laravel environments

• WordPress page builders: such as Elementor/WP Bakery/Gutenberg for advanced page layouts

• Knowledge of Multilingual Plugins (e.g., WPML, Polylang) and basic SEO optimization techniques

• Proficiency with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and other custom field plugins to enhance WordPress functionality

• Proficiency in building REST APIs to facilitate data exchange between WordPress, Laravel, and other platforms

• Strong debugging skills and ability to optimize performance across PHP, WordPress, and Laravel projects

• Solid understanding of Git for version control

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with Docker or Vagrant for local development environments

• Knowledge of caching tools (e.g., Redis, Memcached) to improve application performance

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment

What You'll Do:

• Develop, customize, and enhance WordPress and Laravel websites and applications, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards

• Create custom WordPress themes and plugins, working with WooCommerce to build robust eCommerce solutions

• Configure and optimize WooCommerce for seamless shopping experiences, including custom solutions using WooCommerce hooks and filters

• Develop Laravel applications with popular packages using Composer and key tools like Eloquent ORM, Blade templates, and Middleware

• Integrate and customize payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Mollie) for secure and efficient transactions across WordPress and Laravel projects

• Build advanced page layouts using WordPress page builders such as Elementor, WP Bakery, or Gutenberg

• Enhance website functionality with custom fields via ACF and other plugins

• Develop REST APIs to enable smooth data exchange between WordPress, Laravel, and other platforms

• Collaborate with the team on Git, performing version control and ensuring high-quality code through peer reviews

• Optimize WordPress sites for SEO and boost loading speed
