Engineer of buildings and constructions (Distribution Center adidas)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Workplaces is responsible for the active management of the Global Real Estate Portfolio including leases and transactions of all the properties, all design, construction and operations for offices, showrooms and DC’s for adidas. 

The position as Senior Operating Engineer is responsible for the uninterrupted and technically correct operation of the equipment and machinery of the Distribution Centre and make sure an uninterrupted operation of the warehouse?s life support systems. He/She organizes the supply of the Warehouse with consumables, spare parts etc. and ensures the compliance with sanitary standards, electrical safety, fire safety, environmental standards and regulations at the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Ensuring the uninterrupted and technically correct operation and reliable operation of engineering systems, racking equipment and machinery
• Organizing uninterrupted and technically correct operation of buildings, production and office premises, structures and adjacent territory of the Company
• Organization, monitoring and control of operational processes taking into account economic aspects
• Taking care of the energy and engineering systems of the DC
• Organizing all administrative tasks like reporting documentation, technical documentation, and coordinating plans (schedules)
• Carries out administrative management and organization of the activities of his/her department/unit in accordance with the applicable local acts
• Complies with the requirements of labor protection, fire safety, electrical safety established in the Company
• Creation of technical specifications in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine and company standards (such as FM Global) for all types of work related to the functioning of engineering systems, floor warehouse equipment, racking systems, buildings, etc. 
• Search for contractors to perform these works (including participation in tender processes, price reconciliation and other company procedures), control over the implementation and quality compliance according to the terms of reference. 
• Conducting mutual payments with counterparties

• Legislative and other normative legal acts in the field of energy supply to industrial enterprises, labour protection and safety, fire safety, sanitary norms and rules at the enterprise
• Profile, specialization and structure of a Distribution Centre
• English (intermediate level)
• Required MS-Office skills: MS Excel (advanced level), MS Word (intermediate level), MS PowerPoint (intermediate level), MS Outlook (advanced level)
• Experience in Ariba (or related systems) 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

• Completed vocational training, preferably in the specialist field 
• Availability of certificates of knowledge on labor protection, fire safety, electrical safety not lower than group IV up to 1000 V
• Availability of certificates of fire and technical minimum
• Higher technical education
• At least 5 years in the specialty in engineering and management positions (Warehouse maintenance experience preferred)
