Position title: Senior Accountant Standard Projects
Working location: Kyiv/Ukraine
The Senior Accountant Standard Projects is responsible for:
- Ensure timely preparation the local accounting data of Standard projects
- Control completeness and correctness of accounting data of Standard projects and full compliance with acconting policy
- Support the CA in the finance documentation for preparation of tax, pension funds and other local authorities reports
- Support CA for month-end and year-end close process within Standard projects accounting
- Support CA for Standard Projects budget preparation based on the Standard projects PAs and budget frames
- Ensure Standard Projects budget execution based on the approved budget frames.
- Сhecking payment invoices for compliance with the lines of the approved budget
- Condact Inventory of Standard Projects Assets and Liabilities
- Manage Standard projects accountants, provide technical support and advices
Key performance areas and main responsibilities:
Budgeting and Budget Control
- Support CA for Standard projects budget preparation based on the the Standard Projects PAs and budget frames
- Checking payment Invoices for compliance with the budget lines of the approved budgets
- Upon the CA and FD requests to prepare the current data of the Standard projects' budget execution. In case of the big variety of budget articles, prepares the explanation to budget deviations and measures to eliminate them, primary approval of the requested budget reallocations before CA/FD/ND's final approval
Accounting and Internal Control
- Supervises the correctnees of the primary accounting documentation of the Standard projects and its timely submition to local system accounting
- Controls the completeness and reliability of over the accounting of non-current assets, stocks, funds, bank/cash and other assets, liabilities, income and expenses in accordance with the accounting policy
- Control over the accounting of transport expenses, the timeliness of the closing of advance reports of employees
- Entering approved for payment invoices into the electronic banking system
- Condacts Inventory, controls the write-off (transfer) of property, stocks, which have lost their usefulnees
- Controls the accounting documentation of distribution the charitable assistance to projects beneficiaries
- Takes necessary measures to prevent unauthorized correction of entries in primary documents and accounting registers of units in the area of responsibility
- Monitoring the responsible persons for ensuring the protection of Standard projects accounting information, including personal data
- Participates in tenders held for Standard projects with the right to control executed procurements
Reporting
- After closing accounting period, distribution reporting data to project accountants and discussing reporting results with project accountants and project managers, taken necessary measures for improving finance situation
Funds Management
- Support CA with the preparation the request for transfer based on the Standard project’s liquidity
External Audit
- Ensures the preparation of processed documents, registers and reports for their storage within the established period for the purpose of passing audits of the Standard projects
- Support CA and FD in prepation Standard Projects financial data to include them in the Annul Financial Statements
- Support CA with requested by auditors documents related to Standard projects
- Follow up audit recommendations related to Standard projects
Human Resources Development in Finance
- Responsible for proper training of Standard projects finance staff in direct and functional supervision, provide technical support and advices
Children safety
- Responsible, within the scope of activity, for the prevention and protection of children from all forms of abuse, neglect, exploitation, violence and discrimination based on the principles of the SOS Child Protection Policy.
- Report any suspicions, concerns, claims or incidents immediately, following child protection reporting procedures.
