About the job 

The ICRC Logistics Department (Warehouse Unit) is seeking a highly capable Storekeeper to join our team in Kyiv. The Storekeeper is responsible for proper handling and storage of goods in the warehouse in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming goods against the delivery note and report any issues
• Ensure that goods are properly stored, picked, packed and loaded and report any issues
• Ensure that all the stored goods are properly labelled (expiry dates, batch numbers, manufacturer, etc.) and recorded
• Weigh and tally goods during loading and unloading
• Participate in inventory counts
• Keep the facility's equipment and materials neat, clean and orderly and report any issues
• May be called upon to supervise the loaders or day workers
• Ensure that risks are mitigated by performing the controls assigned to his/her role as described in the Logistics Risk and Control Matrix

About you

To be successful as Storekeeper in the Logistics Department (Warehouse Unit), you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:  

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• Secondary school diploma
• Minimum one year's experience in storekeeping
• Good command of English
• Computer skills an asset
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
• Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
