Automation QA Tech Lead

We are currently seeking an Automation QA Tech Lead to join our team. The position is full time and remote.

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead the process of QA;
• Responsible for designing and implementing Testing Strategy;
• Define and monitor testing procedures: test management, defect management and tracking management;
• Collaborating with various departments in order to fully cover business needs;
• Consulting RnD during large, complex, or new projects;
• Coaching, mentoring, sharing best practices with RnD;
• Formation of reporting on the progress of testing and publication of its results.

Requirements:

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Web QA Engineer with a strong focus on automation;
• 2-3 years of experience as a Web QA Automation Engineer;
• Minimum 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring a Web QA team;
• Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with a focus on continuous improvement;
• By possessing these skills, you can excel as a Web QA Automation Lead and drive a high-performing testing team to deliver exceptional quality web applications.

Technical Proficiency:

• SDLC & Testing Methodologies: Deep understanding of the SDLC, encompassing testing methodologies like black-box and white-box testing, along with a strong grasp of quality assurance principles specifically for web applications.
• Web Automation Mastery: Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing automated test scripts using frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress. Expertise in web automation best practices is crucial.
• Scripting Languages: Solid foundation in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Java, primarily used for web automation scripting.
• Web Testing Tools: In-depth knowledge of web testing tools, including browser automation frameworks, performance testing tools (relevant for web applications), and API testing tools for integrations.
• Test Management & Bug Tracking: Expertise in test management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps) to manage test cycles and collaborate with the team. Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, Bugzilla) for efficient defect reporting and tracking.

 Leadership & Communication:

• Team Management: The ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team of Web QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Problem-Solving & Prioritization: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve web application defects efficiently. The ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and ensure project completion within budget and time constraints.
• Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality web applications.

 Additional Desirables:

• Agile Experience: Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) for software development and testing is a plus.
• Cloud Testing: Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is valuable for scalability and efficient test execution.
• Security Awareness: A basic understanding of security testing concepts and tools is beneficial for web applications.
